Principal’s Go Abroad Fund
The University of Edinburgh is offering funds for at least 200 students to undertake a short-term international experience abroad. Selected students will be awarded £350 or £700 if they are Widening Participation students.
Why go abroad?
International experiences can be extremely enriching, and allow you to immerse yourself in different cultures. They give you the opportunity to try new things, take on new challenges and to make the most of your time at University. Go abroad and you’ll learn about new places and people, have adventures and see some fantastic sights. Meeting people with different views and lifestyles gives you new insights and widens your frame of reference, your influences.
What’s a short-term experience?
Going abroad for anytime from 1 week to 8 weeks is classed as a short-term international experience. It must have an educational component to it – tourism doesn’t count!
Applications will close at 5PM on Tuesday 21st April 2015.
