What You Need to Know – applying for a PhD @ Edinburgh

Last year the Institute for Academic Development (IAD) held a panel discussion with University of Edinburgh representatives who are involved in the PhD application process.  What students said about the event:

“Got a good idea about applying for a PhD. Since the presenters were members of the selection committee, feedback given by them was more useful.”

“Most Useful Aspect: The panel of experts answered queries from a wide range of perspectives.”

In November this year, the IAD will hold panel discussions for Taught Masters students who are considering applying for a PhD at the University of Edinburgh.  At the event, students will have the opportunity to ask staff questions about the PhD application process at the University of Edinburgh; gain an insight into possible funding routes; and visa requirements. We will have representatives from Registry, Admissions, IAD, EUSA, International Office and the Scholarship Office.
