It’s week 4, and I wanted to introduce a reflective note to the blog.
Within the Higher Education community, there is a significant level of discussion around trying to clarify what is a Masters level of education? What does it encompass? And how does it differ from an undergraduate level?
In addition, masters students come from a wide range of backgrounds, and bring a wealth of different experiences. Is it possible to capture that diversity , and use it to enrich the learning experience?
Academic development for the Masters cohort is a new area for the Institute for Academic Development, and we’ve based our support around the theme of ‘transitions’. Helping Masters students transition into studying at this level, and then helping them move on to future careers.
